The rear wheel on the first picture below did not survive the test runs. That happens as well that a wheel is not build properly.
The front wheel was a success with a staggering 1008 grams. Its used in this race as well.
Each flank is covered with 2 layers of 100 gr/m2 uni directional carbon.
The rim is constructed around the PMI core, so we did not use an existing hub.
Making a rim this way is a lot of work. The positive aspect is a very light wheel.
